  Hey guys   :)   I am a student at The University of Westminster in London and I am doing a project on FEMINISM, in particular 'FEMINISM IN ASIA'   <3   The production crew would love to have REAL statements from REAL PEOPLE about FEMINISM   <3   THE PROJECT IS A LIVE INSTALLATION and will be filmed if you would love to see it! The initial idea is to create an atmosphere for a child by highlighting the underlying true meaning of Feminism and educating them about the future of Feminism. Primary Research: Mum

Through my mum she told me many things in India about feminism which includes different groups,norm's and values. Savitribai Phule  (1831-1897) - Perhaps the earliest Indian feminist. Started the first school for girls in the subcontinent. [47] [48] Tarabai Shinde  (1850–1910) – activist whose work  Stri Purush Tulana  is considered the first modern Indian feminist text. [49] Pandita Ramabai  (1858-1922)- social reformer a champion for the emancipation of women in  British India . Furthermore she told me about equal work rights,marriage (underage) and abortion.  Another issue that concerns women is the  dress code  expected of them. Islam requires both men and women to dress modestly; this concept is known as  hijab  and covers a wide interpretation of behavior and garments.
