Issues and solution : Motor

We have approached an issue with the motor 4 kg motor only in stock (our instillation) 10kg out of stock only had 50kg which was priced at £110 We talked to one of the staff members at  clubtek and explained our instillation piece as they worked in theatre and also with various instillation pieces. he told us to cut out the centre to make it lighter and use the 4kg drill holes into the wood recreate it and use polystyrene  or buy the 50kg which was priced at £110 From these options we decided to create a hole in the centre so the top would look like a doughnut shape and we would lower the centre on a different wire. we brought  the 4kg motor and decided to cut out the centre

Babys Mobile

-We are creating a baby's mobile with different Asian countries hanging down from it and on top we will put a base of feminist facts. -We want the mobile to be very child like hence including colourful colours -We want the mobile to spin ( we need to get a motor at least 10kg) -The bed would also be beneath the mobile so the audience would be able to sleep on it and look above.

Bed for Instillation

- Today in the Film studio I was able to find a bed which we were able borrow for a day as we asked permission from a staff member -The bed is to represent the child who looks up at the feminist mobile every night. -We want to put the audience members into the shoes of the child as they are able to sleep on top of the bed. -We also brought a  black cover which will be placed on top of the bed and we found two green pillows which will be placed on top of the bed. -We may or may not add Asian feminist books on top of the bed to represent reading books

Primary Research: Mum

Through my mum she told me many things in India about feminism which includes different groups, norm's and values. Savitribai Phule  (1831-1897) - Perhaps the earliest Indian feminist. Started the first school for girls in the subcontinent. [47] [48] Tarabai Shinde  (1850–1910) – activist whose work  Stri Purush Tulana  is considered the first modern Indian feminist text. [49] Pandita Ramabai  (1858-1922)- social reformer a champion for the emancipation of women in  British India . Furthermore she told me about equal work rights, marriage (underage) and abortion.  Another issue that concerns women is the  dress code  expected of them. Islam requires both men and women to dress modestly; this concept is known as  hijab  and covers a wide interpretation of behavior and garments. There is mixed opinion among feminists over extremes of externally imposed control. Women from other religions are also expected to follow dress c...
