Template of statement of intent

Project Proposal

For Monday 27th February 10.30am you must produce and present a Project Proposal for your final project.

You are expected to be working in groups and only one joint Project Proposal is required per project.

This must be no more than two sides of A4, and must include both text and image (to provide some visualisation of your proposed project). The title or your names should be on both pages.

This is the required format:

1. Your names (all group members)

2. Initial working title

3. Summary of the proposed project in 500 words or less

4. Presentation intentions - how is the project to be experienced by its audience? Is it an installation, app, website, wearable device…

5. Visualisation (what this might be is up to you - it could be your own work, or an appropriate image from your research)

6. Key references - other practitioners, films, books, web works, theorists, musicians etc. Include material of genuine influence or resonance to your project - BOTH material already known AND material still to be researched.

You should bring your proposal to the session in a digital format (doc or PDF) so that it can be presented via the projector.

The efforts of Bengali reformers included abolishing sati, which was a widow's death by burning on her husband's funeral pyre,  abolishing the custom of child marriage, abolishing the disfiguring of widows, introducing the marriage of upper caste  Hindu  widows, promoting women's education, obtaining legal rights for women to own property, and requiring the law to acknowledge women's status by granting them basic rights ...
